Brand new, Its going in an Early 2008 MBP. Will I Notice a Notable Speed Increase?

I Got it for a $100, it was a no brainer to buy it.. Either way, I Looked at the reviews and see nothing about it crashing?

Thats the Vertex 2 - SATA 3

I Got the Vertex Plus - SATA 2

I Read the reviews and none were bad but 1, and it was replaces and worked fine.. ?????
