Hey all,

I know its a bit late now, but i just bought CS3 (all of it) with an aim to start getting into video editing. I'd like to do other things too (such as getting a website up and running, and it would also be nice to play with the RAW images my D400 takes in photoshop) , and thought that as fcs2 costs about £550 (with student discount), id be better off with CS3 which cost me £370 (again with a student dicount).

However, ive been reading over a few older threads here and people dont seem to think much of premier at all, seeing as though my main intention was video (and video effects), have i made an expensive error?

Personally I would have bought Final Cut. I am not a fan of Adobe's video suite.

You paid less the for the entire master collection than the retail value of Photoshop alone.
Just use and enjoy the tools that came with the suite; I'm sure they're excellent.
