OK, so I am newly converted. My laptop was old and I needed something to handle high res RAW images. I am the proud new owner of a MBP 15 inch, with a 2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor.

I am wondering if I can also hook this up to my monitor, mouse and keyboard that I use with my Windows machine. My monitor has both a DVI input and VGA, the VGA is still available.

Is this possible?

Yes it is possible. Get the mini display port - to - DVI connector for your monitor. The keyboard and mouse should work fine if they are USB. You'll need adapters if they aren't. If they are bluetooth, you should be able to pair them just fine.
