But first: This was the SMARTEST thing I have ever done with money. This machine kicks my PC's ass on SO many levels. It's mindblowing, really.

Now, onto the questions:
  • Is there any way to enforce "global" Finder settings, in particular Font Size, Icon Size, Grid Spacing and Snap to Grid?
  • Why doesn't Shift-Click work in Finder (Click on one file, Shift Click on another, and all files in between are selected)? I miss this from windows, but I see it in programs like itunes and Tagr, but not in Finder...
  • What is considered "safe" temps? I use SMCFanControl to keep my CPU temp down to about 80 degrees when I am converting files using HandBrake, but I have to keep the fans at 6K RPM (!!??)

Thanks for any help you can offer.
Joe

Once you set them initially, they should remain from then on.

Because that's not a feature Finder supports in icon view (it works in List view).

That's fairly normal for Handbrake. There are a lot of "Is my temperature safe?" threads, and rarely do you ever see an actual problem.
