I was thinking as I got back to my office that they gave me the base model macbook (2.0ghz) instead of the 2.4ghz model I paid for. Turns out that indeed what was inside was the 2.4ghz model even though the outside of the box where it has the specs were all for the lower one.

showed 2.0ghz
160gb HD, etc, etc.

That is really strange. Do the serial numbers match up (the one on the box and the one on your MacBook)?

They do match.. but strange, yes. On BOTH labels front and bottom of the box it has the base specs. Weuhhddd.

yes... the actual computer itself is the 2.4ghz with the backlit keyboard and all..
