Just bought New Mac Pro, but I have questions.

I just bought a new mac pro 2.8 and was wondering a couple of things.

1) This came with the Xeon Intel processors, is that the latest and greatest?

2) The disk drive is kinda clunky (noisy) when playing disks. Is this normal?

3) I hear the HDs initially crunching on start up and opening certain apps. But this goes away pretty quickly. Is this normal?
