Hi,
Just purchased both for my MacBook pro 2011. Was wondering what is the best way to set this up without having to flip the MacBook open every time I use it. For the most part I just want to leave it closed when in use. Can you turn the computer on from the display or keyboard or do you just leave it to hibernate. Any additional software I need? Thanks!

you can wake up a computer from sleep with the keyboard or a mouse. Just make sure the wake up from bluetooth setting is on.

This guide will show you how to use MBP with lid closed Clamshell Mode

Have to open it to turn it on if powered off. iisforiphone supplied the link that gives you the rest of the info. I open mine, hit power and immediately close it.
