hello, I am a recent convert, I now have a macbook pro and have a question regarding the app store on my macbook. I have an ipad 2, my question is, do I have to pay for apps again that I have already purchased for my ipad if I want to install them on my macbook pro, the itunes account is the same for both. thank you.

Yes, they are two different apps.

One is an IOS app, the other is an OSX app. I wish one pay once and get both versions, alas no. Cook needs his millions$

It's the same for Microsoft as well. I have Office on a windows machine, yet I need to buy it again for my Mac.

I like how Steam allows you do just redownload what ever it is you've bought if it has a Mac/Linux or Windows version.
