Just changed my battery on 4s, but...

So i changed batteries on my 4s. i replaced it with a brand new one i got online. I let it die completely and charged it to 100% but when i get to usage it shows the standby and usage the same.

I did a hard reset and now both have - next to it. My phone is already restored as new because i thought it was a software bug. Any suggestions on how to fix it? thanks

If you run the battery down and then charge it back to 100% then it should work.

thats what i did when i first put my battery in. It turned on with 10% then i let it die and recharged

I meant for the usage and standby in settings. Apologies for the wording
