Why when you dock the iphone to a mac desktop does not an icon of the iphone show up on the desktop? Like when you dock an ipod a ipod image (nano, classic, etc) shows up on the desktop. I was just wondering if it's just me or it doesn't recognize it the same.

An iPhone, out of the box, can't be used as a "drive" like the iPod can. That is why it doesn't show up on the Desktop.

Ahh, that's right. No "disk mode" with the iPhone. Wonder if that will change.
