So I just did the latest update on my mid 2009 Mac mini and I have it connected to my Vizio 1080p monitor through VGB. I keep the resolution set at 1920 x 1080. Well when it restarted the computer to install the update it came back on and everything was neon green and pink and 1/4 of the display was off the screen. I managed to navigate my way to display settings and put it on every other resolution size except for "best for display" and/or 1920 x 1080 and the colors look fine and the screen is on the correct placement on the display. It's just the 1920 x 1080 and "best for display" setting that makes it completely unusable.

Has anyone else ever had this problem? Please help!

Don't feel alone. My late 2009 mini 2.66 often wakes up from sleep with the screen expanded so much that I can see only about 1/4 of it on a 1200x1920 display. I have to restart it to get back to the normal screen. 1200x1920 is not available to click in Preferences.

It has only been doing this for awhile. Other than updates the only thing I have done to it recently is FileVault2. I may dump the encryption and see if the problem goes away.
