Just dropped my iPhone and now a rattle sound from inside..

Sigh. so I just dropped my iPhone before. It fell from my shirt pocket to the floor. I bent down to get something and forgot the phone was in my top pocket and it came tumbling out onto the concrete. I had on a Speck Candyshell case so the phone had no physical damage. But the case had some scruffs. When I went home and took off the case, I noticed a rattling sound coming when I shake it side to side but not when I shake it front to back.

What could be rattling inside??

This sucks I just got it on Friday..

That is exactly how I dropped my 3GS, the only time I dropped it!

Take it to the Genius and play dumb.

did it cause you any problems as well? The only issue I have is the rattle. I don't notice anything wrong. Just worried about the rattle..

Something obviously broke loose inside. It may work fine now but you never know what may happen down the road. Take it back and say it was like that since the day you bought it and they'll give you a new one.

It's normal. It's the camera. The camera has moving parts. Mine does that too and I've never dropped it, but of course this perfect explanation isn't going to satisfy you.

Just take it to the genius bar and say you've noticed it's making a rattling noise. They'll replace it so long as there's no physical damage.

Yea there never was a rattle before I dropped it.

Never notice it before, probably because never shook the phone, but does make rattling sound. Phone has never been dropped. Seems like a none issue to me since I never notice it before until now.

Having rebuilt iPhones, its either the 3.5mm jack, vibration module, or camera related. All could become an issue.
