I just wiped a 500GB hard drive about 2 minutes ago, then remembered there was something on there I needed. Is there any way that I can view the files?

I initially set it to zero out any data but skipped it after a few minutes because I remember the files I needed.

Sure you can, as long as the data has not been written over....just fork out about a thousand bucks! Good luck!

More like $100 + cost of an external drive (using Data Rescue III as the poster above you suggested).

I strongly recommend Data Rescue III as well, it's the only program I've seen reliably recover data in those types of situations.
