These photos might be hard to tell but I have a matte Wrapsol for the 1st gen iPad cut to fit an iPad 2. It's really not hard to make some notches in it so that it doesn't interfere with any of the new design and works very well until I get something official back there. I may even stick with this.

I was looking earlier if I had to cut a notch for the Smart Cover and decided to test the area with a strip I had, it works fine. The magnet is strong enough to hold through a skin which I was pleased to find out.

The skin is still in the drying phase hence the streaks you may see.

Now I'm not saying there isn't some magnetic loss but I haven't had a problem in any position and I still have to pull the Smart Cover off.

Sorry if this was already posted, I didn't see anything.

BSE also tested this and updated their site stating their skin was compatible with the smartcover.
