Dead pixels are hardware not software so the only fix is a new screen or a new device. Take it to an Apple store and they should hand you a new one on the spot. May even work at your carrier store if you bought the phone trough them. If an Apple store is not close by, you can call Apple and make a warranty claim and they will mail you a replacement and you will have to send the old one back.

If the pixel isn't black, it might just be stuck. You can try rubbing the area around it and playing a stuck pixel fixer.

If it's actually dead, then you're out of luck. Take it into an Apple Store and get it replaced.

Is it a big deal

I mean when I first noticed it, it really annoyed me but people I tell say they don't think it's a big deal

Where is it?

If it doesn't bother you then that's fine, but if Apple will replace it then why not? Also consider resale value.

Here is right here it's between the The G in the letter H shortly a little bit above it in the middle image.jpg You can kind of see it in the photo

I have one too but it's so tiny and not noticeable at all..i myself just spotted it a few days ago by looking for faults on the screen..

It's located in the bottom left corner not even on the screen..it might be a spec of dust that got stuck under the glass

One dead pixel I don't think is really worth an exchange. I mean if you have other defects and that's an added one I say go for a return, but if that's your main problem with the device I'd say keep it. The pixels on these screens are SO tiny anyway. And a dead pixels are covered in the warranty so if it ever gets too annoying or you get more, you can exchange it anytime during the first year.

The human eye can't discern pixels at a typical viewing distance on the iPhone 5. Obsessive much?

You certainly can if the contrast between the dead pixel and the surrounding pixels is high. I can also see a couple on my rMBP display when the contrast to their dead color is right.

If it is a BIG DEAL to you, get it returned. Why are you even asking?

Hope you next unit does not have any other flaws:rolleyes:

Am I the only one who can't see it in the pic?

----------

Wait...I enlarged the pic.... don't think I would notice that myself tbh..

Yes, Yes, Yes. If the 'genius' can see them they will replace the phone. Quit typing and go do it.
