Ok,
i finally found the laptop of my dreams; beautiful 09CAC screen with no dead/stuck pixels, just swapped in my x25-M from the 15-incher. I will be getting rid of all of my other mac laptops. The screen is fantastic. Previously owned similar 2.66 model with glossy screen. The AG screen makes text jump out; the glassy makes pictures very nice. For my work i need the matte.
Very happy, only thing, this model really did not get updated did it....

$300 price drop, 2.66ghz to 2.8ghz, 320GB to 500GB HDD (however that doesn't matter to you).
I wouldn't say it was a bad update considering these came out in like Feb.

this might be a stupid question but how is the screen with anti glare? Does it look like matte (unlike many others i hate matte)?

Yes it is matte, that's the point of the screen. So if you prefer the glassy/glossy look stick with that.

Nice. I bought the 2.66 MBP 17" with 320 GB hard drive and got a $200 discount on top of the new price drops, edu discount, and free iPod.

For the screen question...I have both the matte screen on my 17" and the glassy on my 13. I love both screens, and I can't really say which one I like better. The 17" Anti-glare is beautiful, and a huge upgrade from my non-unibody Macbook Pro.

mind posting pics of the uMBP w/ antiglare? the Apple site says the screen has a silver boarder rather than black; strikes my curiosity.

thanks,
-Brad

This is the press photo of the anti glare.
