Hello,
I am new to this forum, and I am coming here knowing almost nothing about the iPhone, so I am really hoping that someone can help me.

My dad just gave me his old 1st generation 8GB iPhone. He said that it needs to be synced to my iTunes account. My situation is a bit complicated though because I just moved recently. The PC that has my iTunes account is at the house where I used to live, and although I still have access to it, I want to sync my iTunes library to the PC in the house in which I currently live. Would my iTunes library be synced if I back up all of my songs to CDs and then re-load them to my iPod in a new iTunes account on the new PC? If not, how can I sync my iTunes library?

Once I have my iTunes library synced completely, will my iPhone work when I plug it in or is there something else I need to do? I would appreciate any information on this topic at all, even if it's just a link. Thank you all in advance.
