I have been on BT headsets for a while and can not remember the last time I used the jack.

I also use BT when on the move or at work, but able to drive a headphone amp and with my trusting Sennheiser HD600 with coffee in my hand on weekend morning is simply priceless.

There is no comparison in detail, soundstage, sweetness, smoothness, openness, bass impact...... between good wired headphone with amp vs any BT using any sound enhanced BT technology. Not even close.

Came from a 3GS to a 5 to a 6S Plus and I love it. Enjoying that screen size makes up for the increase in difficulty carrying it around 100%. I'm hooked on that big view. My 3GS is on iOS 4.1 and my 5 is on 7.1.2 so all are about the same smoothness to use but I love this screen real estate.

Nice! You literally had the three speediest iPhones relative to their predecessors (3GS was first speed bump after two identical models, 5 was the first and only 2.5x speed bump, at least in GeekBench, and the 6S was the first major speed bump since the A7).

Looking back, the most notable speed differences came from these three iPhone models.

Yessir! This fact was not lost on me - I read this here the other day while sorting through old posts and thought it was kind of a neat coincidence that my upgrade cycles fell there. I'm on two year steps now, perma S cycles unless I switch manufacturers but so far so good with iPhones.

That's good to hear!

The good thing about future iPhones is that improvements will bring diminishing marginal returns. As an example, the cameras from the iPhone 3G to iPhone 4s (3 years) improved MUCH more than from the 5 to 6s (also 3 years).

I say "good thing" because these diminishing marginal returns make the difference between the "S" models and regular models less every time (except for the unique feature), so no matter what cycle one is on, you can't go wrong :)

Enjoy it while you can. I have no doubt you will be able to do so, even if the jack disappears.
