After having 13 inch MBP for 8 months with 2 logic drive failures and crackling issues, Apple finally offered me a refund(after several weeks of phone calls).
I decided that since I was planning to get a 27 inch imac, i might as well get a 16 macbook instead and use that for portable + docking to monitors. Many youtubers everywhere talk about how the 16 inch is Apple's return to glory with the Macbooks since the 2015 model.
I received my MBP yesterday. It has a Core i9 2.3 Ghz, 32 GB ram and 5500 8GB GPU.
My initial impressions are that this MBP is really fast! The keyboard is good(though i did like the butterfly too). The size is larger than i imagined.
However i have been experiencing issues like speaker popping, freezing touchbar(like it is right now as i type) and random shutoff error(once). My computer monitor also blinked off for 10 seconds too. None of these issues occurred with the 13 inch MBP i had. The computer can also run quite hot, especially on Windows 10(battery life is terrible, heard it's because bootcamp only used the GPU). I also don't think i can get as comfortable with the increased size and extra heat, this laptop is best used on a hard surface.
I am thinking of returning it before the 14 days is up and getting a new 27 inch imac instead. It is a tried and true design, unlike the current design of the MBP, which Apple can't seem to get right. I may consider an ARM Macbook after those are released, like the rumored $799 version.
Are you happy with your MBP or have you had issues?

I've owned several MacBook's and I've never encountered those issues before, why don't you take it back in get one more 16" model and see what happens. just strange that you have issues like this .

The 5600 GPUs I hear runs a lot cooler. If you're using the GPU a lot you'd probably notice the heat difference.
