They are restore DVDs. They let you re-install the OS and included apps on a new harddrive (or the one you've got if you need to).

Reinstall disks (both) and the instillation tools you need after installing windows via boot camp so you will have the correct hardware drivers for windows. if you so chose to install.

Nope, just keep them safe! Lot's of people don't need them until it's time to sell their Mac

Whatever you do, don't lose them or get them mixed up with recycling and let the War Department put them out with the newspapers! (OK, it only happened to me one time.). Keep them in the little grey box with your manuals.
