Just got a new mac air

Hey guys, i just got a mac air, my first apple product aside from an apple ipod touch.

I got it from kijiji for 1050 the box was sealed and it was bnib

Specs:
128gb ssd
4gb ram
i5 intel

so far these are the following things i've done

Disk repair
Changed touchpad / other settings
Checked SSD's manufacture = samsung
inverted scrolling direction
Calibrated screen
Changed Dock icons
Software updated
Downloaded Chrome
Registered my mac air
Downloaded Flip4mac
Downloaded IWork
Installed Flash Player




Questions:

How do i check how much warranty i have left?
Is chrome compatible with os lion to its fullest potential
How do i change my wallpaper?
How do i go on about using an external drive? and which one is the best / most portable one?
Best lightweight sleeve? currently Looking at the speck pixal sleeve and the moshi muse
should i get a speck case? and will it scratch the air?
What other apps/programs do i need to download?
Is there anything else i need to do?

As for the other questions, they've been asked and answered hundreds of times in the forum. Searching will find relevant threads with more answers than you know what to do with.

But being a kinda helpful guy....

Go to the little apple symbol in the top left corner of your screen....

From there you will find details of RAM CPU and then.....click on moire info.

The serial number will be displayed and then you can register online!

I've been a new Mac user for only 2 mos. I'm so glad I switched. It was difficult acclimating the first few weeks, but got through the frustrations with the help of this forum.

Anyway, a lot of your questions can be resolved by going to "System Preferences".

Flip4Mac really isn't that great or useful anymore. You're better off just using VLC, it will play about anything you can throw at it.

Also, if you are using chrome you don't need Flash Player installed on your Mac. Chrome has its own version built in.

It will not scratch it if you clean it regularly.

sleeve - Be.ez from Apple Store

speck case - I'd say no if you're getting a sleeve
