All iPads Just got an iPad, a lot of photos in stream not appearing?

As the header says I got a new iPad air and there is about 800 photos in my phot stream and when I set my new iPad up on Friday only about 200 have from about the last couple weeks, even though there is lots and lots more!


How can I get them to appear?
 
You do know it only streams the last four weeks? Only shared streams stay in the cloud.
 
Photostreams already downloaded to the devices keep 1000 photos and will remove the oldest as new ones become available.

New ones will be shared up to 30 days across devices.

They are all stored in photo stream

Because they are already on the device, turn photo stream off and back on and you'll see the actually stream content. This will match your iPad.
 
I had to plug in my iPad in order to get my photos. I thought they were cloud based but I guess not.
