...from my old 320gb to the new SSD + HDD.

Now I want everything which i use regularly like operating system, browser, applications to be on the ssd (128gb)

And all the hefty stuff like music, games, movies, photos to go on the HDD (1TB)optibay.

Can anyone link me to a guide on how to do this.

Cheers :)

MacBook, MacBook Pro: Replacing the Hard Disk Drive, transferring data to the new HDD

the guide includes:
  • 0. Identify your MacBook or MacBook Pro
  • 1. Getting a new HDD
  • 2. Guides to replace the internal HDD with a newer one
  • 3. Transferring data from the old HDD to the new HDD
  • 4. Using the optical disk drive (ODD) slot for placing an SSD or HDD inside the MB/P (OPTIBAY)

Thanks but im looking to do a 'clean copy' onto the ssd, I currently have snow leopard on my 320gb HDD, can I put the SSD in the optibay drive and download OSX lion onto it then put it on the main boot bay? I also want to make a partition for boot camp windows.

Likewise I spose I can just put the 1tb hdd in the optibay and transfer my downloads over to it?

What I did was put my SSD in an external USB enclosure and hook it up to my MBP. I formatted it using Disk Utility and then used Carbon Copy Cloner to copy all of my data from my hard drive.
