Just Got Bumper Still have Signal loss!!

Still experience the same signal loss covering the left hand corner with my left hand :confused:

Apple please fix the phone!!
 
Either you have a bad iphone 4 or your location probably has bad coverage. Get someone else you know who has an iphone 4 and see if the problem lies within your phone or you location.

That's the thing--it's not as if the only cause of the signal meter drop off is the external antenna/grip of death thing. I have also seen my signal meter drop to no bars with my iPhone 4 sitting on my desk, no hands touching anything.

Did folks just scurry out and buy bumpers thinking that was a magic cure? I bet it solves the antenna issue, but not if the signal loss is due to reception or a different phone issue. And I've yet to have a dropped call. :)

What? I hold my iPhone in my left hand to browse the net and whatnot while tapping with my right hand, and the left corner sits comfortably in my palm. This hand holding Nazi youth mentality is getting out of hand (no pun intended ;)).
 
The bottom line is that the iP4 or iOS 4 or something is a problem.

I'm using and holding my iP4 just like I always used my iPhone 2G, 3G and 3GS and none of those phones ever exhibited any of the nonsense reception issues that the iPhone 4 is.
 
Mine loses a bit of signal with the a bumper when I told it in my hand "Death Grip" style. My iPhone 4 also loses signal without the bumper and by just touching the band on the lower left hand side, connecting the 2 metal pieces. The bumper seems to help for sure as it at least keeps this connection issue from happening.

Normally have 5 Bars

W/Bumper bars diminish just the same as without

Sucks for do many to have this problem. I have not been able to duplicate it no matter where I gave been. From Atlanta to Puerto Rico I can't get it to loose signal. Weird. Clearly there are variables to this problem we do not fully understand.
 
iPhone 4 signal loss

Called Apple today about signal loss while holding my phone. They told me to purchase a case and it would resolve the problem. I also asked about a software update to fix the problem.....it wouldn't comment. Help Apple...Steve Jobs??? :eek:
