I just got my factory unlocked iPhone 4s and do not have a micro-SIM. I went to activate it but got to a point it would not go farther without a SIM. Is it not possible to use it without a SIM, just play with Wifi etc?

I don't know which firmware, but I ordered the unlocked version as soon as it became available online in the Apple Store.

I already tried cutting an old SIM and the iPhone didn't recognize it; I don't know it I just cut it poorly (it's possible, I didn't have a ruler) or if the SIM is just too old (it's about 2 years old).

Got it!

I found another old SIM and I guess I just cut it better because this time it worked--so psyched, thank you!
