I just got at&t fiber 1000gbps, woohoo!

Through my iPhone 6 on wi-fi I can get a 3ms ping and about 200Mbps downloads/uploads.

Through my Macbook Pro late 2013 I can get only a 30ms ping, although my download/upload speeds do increase to around 500Mbps on the wi-fi (and on ethernet 900Mbps but still with the 30ms ping).

Sort of unrelated but my xbox one only gets an 80ms ping, and 100Mbps.

Are these just differences in the hardware, or may there be something I can do to improve the ping times?

Why does the difference matter? What performance issues are you experiencing as a result?

Unless you're getting 200+ ms ping, throughput is a whole lote more important.

call att, ask them about it... (just a suggestion)...

I discussed it with them but it doesn't appear to be an at&t problem. If the iPhone can get a 1-3ms ping, then the at&t hardware is functioning well. I just find it odd that the iPhone has the least latency of all equipment in my house. I would expect it to be the worst.
