latest & greatest, BUT, simple question, when I click on "about this Mac".
it shows

2.3 I7
16 GB Mem
Intel Iris pro 1024
mine is supposed to have the Geforce 750 on it, how do I get it to show up?:confused:
 
You're probably running on the dGPU.
Click on System Report and click on the Graphics/Display

The OS X version is also listed in About this Mac.
Yours should say that you have OS X 10.9 (your Mac has whatever the update was on the date that the drive was loaded, and not necessarily up-to-date today)

Run your App Store, and click on Updates, and update to 10.9.1, and whatever else appears….

working on it, I am on 10.9 right now.
