Hi

I use:
http://lottoapp.com/#_home for checking lottery results
http://moviesapp.com/#_moviesapp to find local theaters and movies
http://www.google.com/m#search for looking up things on Google
http://www.springlets.com/phone/searches/wikipedia.html for looking up things on Wikipedia
http://iphone.jiwire.com/query.html for finding nearby WiFi hotsopts
http://scicalc.belfry.com for a scientific calculator
http://converter.aapl.org.uk/converter.php for converting several types of units
I'm evaluating https://talk68.beejive.com/ajax/ which is an Instant Messenger
I also regularly use a link to my Credit Union

There are hundreds of games available. You can easily look for them and use the ones you are interested in. The only game I use regularly is http://www.enjoysudoku.com/play.html

Right from the Apple iPhone site, you can find links to some great ones.

My current favorite is Podcaster.

Would love to find a chess tactics one.

Must get a local app from the SDK for password manager soon though. That, and an external speaker are the only two things keeping the Touch from being my perfect device. (Bluetooth would be nice too :)

pogonotes is a great note taking app
iRadioapp is great for listening to radio from all over the US.
textonphone is great for reading books
meebo or beejive is great for instant messaging
and lastly... seeqpod for finding music

I have an idea! Why don't you just JAILBREAK IT?

(meebo.com is a nice IM client, though!)
In all honesty, I have no reason to Jailbreak. I did and I went back to the official firmware. Since you have to be on WiFi anyway, you might as well just use Webapps.

if your new here, two things
1. Jailbreak it
2. Dont call it an iTouch, touch is cool

my $.02

As for webapps, unless you live in the wondrous land of total wi-fi coverage, they arent much good, but they are nice.

What do you mean, 'have to be on wifi'? Part of the reason I jailbroke my iPod in the first place is because there are no wifi spots here in Tokyo and without wifi my Touch was an overpriced iPod - once I jb'd it, it was like a breath of fresh air. Tons of apps, none of which require wifi. Jailbreaking turned my overpriced iPod into a highly useful PDA (which happens to have a pretty cool iPod app) ... ;)

omgosh guys..
answer the question... the web app i use most
is meebo.. for AIM.. not really sure what others there are
