Wow, the screen is amazing, it's so much easier to lift and carry with me and finally, the IRIS is so much better than than the HD3000 in my old laptop, like so much better! I am very impressed(and happy) with my purchase!

Welcome to how computers are suppose to be lol

Ya I even remember reading you had a mac but for some reason other than because I'm getting old that I thought you came from a PC. *shrug

I'm planning to buy my first mac pro this fall after the refresh to haswell-e.

Iris is nice. But most things are better than a HD3000.

Congratulations! I think it's the best laptop I've ever owned. I'm glad you like yours. If you're looking for some accessories with your new purchase, consider an external monitor for home use. The MBPr works EXCELLENT as a desktop too! No need for iMac or Mac Mini (at least for me).

I just checked mine and I have the HD4000. I have the Mid 2012 mbp classic.

Well I had a 2011 13" MBP before.

I just might do that... I do have a spare monitor but the scaled resolution for more space also works amazing for me.

I highly recommend it. In fact I use my MBPr as a desktop most of the time at home. I have a 20" Dell monitor which I got as a gift. I also keep a 32" TV next to my monitor which I play Xbox One on.

Regarding scaled resolution, when I use my MBPr on the go like at the library I always keep it scaled at 1680x1050.

The native "Retina" resolution is good but I prefer the scaled.
