Just got my Apple Thunderbolt Display

Just saw a crazy open box price at best buy for $699 that said it was excellent in condition.
Went to the store and of course, they said that they didn't have it.
Left the store and decided to order it anyway and the email said ready for pickup after 40 minutes.
Went back to the store and of course they couldn't find it so instead they apologized and gave me a brand new seal ATBD for $699. Couldn't believe his happened at best buy.

Now I went home to realize that it's not compatible wih my 2008 Mac Pro's mini display port LOL.

Too good of a deal to return.

Now it's just a waiting game. This new Mac Pro can't come quick enough.

Congrats though, the TBD is gorgeous. Can't wait until they update it!

It's actually 2 separate best buys in vegas area. The've goofed many times. Mostly to my advantage. Even with the MBA it wouldn't have gone through until a manager had to approve the sale, but it was surprising cause even he didn't seem to care and just punched in his override code and didn't even look at the purchase item. I was shocked, but happy.
 
Maybe for the time being get a cable adaptor like a TB to HDMI so you could use your display. http://www.monoprice.com/Product/?p_id=5106

Not sure when the new Mac pro 2013 will be released. Some are saying it's end of October while others are saying Jan 2014 because Apple is waiting for Intel to release the TB 2 chipsets. The cpus were just released this month at 2.7ghz. Pricing is also a factor.

That explains it. A deal like that would never happen in Canada. Whats your taxes in Nevada?

I don't know the exact numbers but not bad I'm guessing compared to other states I hear from coworkers.

Nevada has no state income tax. Property tax seems in line with other states.
