Yes I have used a computer before...
I bought a macbook pro 2.53 intel core duo 4 gb of ram . 280gb hard drive. I bought it off a friend of mine.

Also consider getting the podcast ScreenCastOnline. Don really has way of explaining a great number of cool third applications and he makes things really simple.
