At&t/west coast/pre-order on apple
I had the same issue as in the other post, the error message of waiting for an email showed up many many times. I went to the at&t store, they were not able to help me, they said the activation is through apple serve since I ordered from apple.com. So I went to the apple store. They restored my phone to factory setting through iTunes and activated again, it worked in one trial. Just want to share my experience, hope it will help.
While at the apple store, there was some one else having the same issue, the at&t representative and apple people tried many different ways to activate it (swapping sim card, trying with the at&t website, etc.) - none worked. I got another apple representative and he tried restoring to factory setting, worked like a charm.
Btw, I never get that fabled message.
