So I pulled the trigger, got the ok from the Misses, and bought the new i7 MBP from the Apple store in Ottawa when I went there "just to check it out."
I was able to use my student discount for the last time as I just graduated this February and the girl was willing to let me use it.
Went to see the difference between the Hi-Res and Standard option and found it to be too small, so I stuck with the standard resolution model instead. After using it for over 4 hours, i am very happy with this decision.
Haven't done too much so far, but it is VERY snappy...I should hope so with this chip in it.
