Wow that really sucks, i hope you have an Apple store nearby for a quick exchange!

does the button still give you a Q when you press the button where it should be (I guess the A button)?

If the actual input is the same, I'd keep it as a novelty:p

yeah, when i press 'A' it gives me 'Q'

i'd find it quite funnty it the apple store wasn't an hour's car drive away.

anyway i'll try and persude them to give me a discount on Mobileme to cover my 'fuel costs', doubt i'll have any luck though....

Is it normal for computers to be available in stores with AZERTY keyboards in the UK? Although you hear of people using them occasionally here, I've never heard of a computer built with one being available in a physical store.

not at all. UK qwerty, and occasionally you come across UK qwerty keyboards, but not azerty!

When I ordered a MacBook online through the HE Apple Store last week I was given a choice of UK (qwerty) or French (azerty) keyboard and Uk or French install....

You did not hit the wrong button by any chance...from your post it sounds as if you bought it in store - in which case take it back and make sure they recompense you for your inconvenience....
