Hey, just got my first Mac, a top spec 15" rMBP, this came after years of building and using PC's so I have a few observations and questions.

First off, I love it, but I am a little critical. This is just a quick summary of my thoughts and some questions I have, not a review.

1. The keyboard feels really soft to me, but I imagine I'll get used to that in time, it just feels odd that the trackpad needs quite a hard 'click' while they keys have very little resistance comparatively.

2. Also the keyboard layout is different to anything else I've used before but I do like it.

3. The machine itself is simply beautiful, it hasn't sunk in yet that this is mine and I get to use it every day, the design, materials and build quality are simply staggering.

4. The display is exceptional but it really does highlight low res images and a number of youtube videos have terrible quality.

5. It's is strange installing and deinstalling programs and apps after having used Windows for so long.

6. What the hell is the purpose of the dashboard? Looks completely out of place and useless to me.

7. Safari is pretty good but I occasionally get pop-ups (Using Ad-block) which I never got in Firefox.

8. Nightmare having to get my iPhone synced with this machine, no fault of the Mac, just having to reorganise all my apps and try and sync my contacts/pictures etc from iCloud. Also I like having bookmarks just below the address bar, but when I do this it messes up all my bookmarks in iOS.

9. Can someone please tell me how to get Steam to start minimised, I like to have it load as soon as I start my system but being greeted by it is a little irritating. Any terminal command to fix this?

10. Moving files around is definitely worse on OSX than Windows, probably the only thing I dislike about OSX.

11. Is there a shortlist of the most important shortcut commands as they are proving really useful like cmd-Q, cmd-M, I also like the hot corners.

12. The standard Mail app is pretty pathetic, I actually prefer the one in iOS! Doesn't seem to fetch mail for me as well as iOS. Always dings on my iPhone and I have to go looking for it on OSX.

13. I like notifications centre and the App store.

14. I usually just shutdown the system as it loads up that fast! Really amazing SSD.

I have a problem at the moment, I don't have a 4GB or bigger USB stick, just a 2GB one. But I have an external HDD which I have partitioned part of it into a 4GB FAT32 drive. Can I use this to install Bootcamp Windows 7 SP1 x64 without wiping all the data on my other partitions within the drive?

But to sum it up, I love this machine, was playing Civ V last night with maxed settings at 2880x1800 without breaking a sweat, silky smooth FPS. Just want to get World of Tanks installed on the Windows partitioned then I'll be sorted.
