I was lucky enough to find the 11" 128gb 2010 model still in stock after discovering the new mba contains an intel hd solution. I was wondering if anyone has seen a direct comparison in games/3dmark between the 2010 and 2011 models. I'm very happy with my purchase and wouldn't return my 2010 for anything, but I would still like to see some comparisons. Sorry if I missed a thread like this already made. This is my first post. Thanks guys!

Edit: thought I would provide a little more info. I boot camped and partitioned 80gb to windows for lots of game storage. I have been playing Left 4 Dead 2 @ near max settings. It plays very smooth. I can also play SC2 @ medium very smoothly. Installing Crysis: Warhead as we speak. I have high hopes for it. I have a desktop with SLI 580's and a 990x, so I know what raw power is. However, I am just shocked by the great performance of my MBA. First time mac owner ftw. I got an iphone a few weeks ago and it opened my eyes to apple products.

If you play CPU intensive games such as WoW, the Intel 3000 is better. If you play shooters the 320m is barely better. Not worth it IMO since Sandy Bridge is twice as fast in everything else.

This is the base site for all GPU benchmarks and the 3000 is actually faster in most cases just fyi. The Intel 3000 isn't as bad as you make it seem.

You're using charts that are pairing the intel 3000 with MUCH faster processors than the ones in the new MBA, so that doesn't even matter. I asked for actual MBA benchmarks, so I'm sorry to be a jerk, but you might as well not even waste your time posting worthless things like that.

I agree with this guy. I've been spending the last few minutes looking over those charts, and the benchmarks of the intel 3000 with a FASTER processor than the one thats in the 2011 MBA still can't touch the 2010 MBA with the 320m. GTFO my thread lol
