Congratulations! I am more of a SS watch guy with traditional watches but I saw an AW 4 in gold in a store and it looks amazing. I hope it serves you well!

Gold is really nice and I almost pulled the trigger. However I went with the Silver SS (my S0 was silver SS and my S2 was Space Grey SS) as I really think that there are so many more band choices with silver lugs than there would be for gold.

I used to think gold was tacky as well. Not sure if my tastes have changed or if it’s just this Apple gold color but I love it. Wife says the gold with sand sport is very feminine.. I either just don’t see it, or I’m more progressive than I thought I was.

Solid gold not withstanding, I much prefer stainless over any gold watch Apple or otherwise. Gold accents aren't bad but my traditional watches are stainless. I've seen finishes wear off and many of the gold finishes just scream fake or "look at me".

This year's stainless Apple gold looks antiqued and more subdued compared to some gold finishes I've seen and I think it's absolutely beautiful.

You realize you are paying for more than LTE right? Better glass, better casing, you know - the true cost differences. The little LTE band is fractional in the cost difference.
