just got refurbished 8GB iphone at att store for $250

There's a thread over on howard forums where this just promotion started over the weekend.

Only att corp. stores are selling refurbished iphones in the Northeast region.

They are selling 8GB for $249.99 and 4GB for $149.99. However the 4GB are very hard to find. These iphones are going very quickly. Most were sold out over the weekend but at least in the Northern Virginia area, the att guys said they expect a new shipment in later this week.

I got 2 8GB iphones today. One to unlock for my brother on his Tmobile line. I have att so I will just keep the other as a "spare" so I can hack my other iphone.
 
what?! I thought you had to be a new contract to get those prices? I just got back from buying one at a store. (but for $320, so not so bad.)
 
Guys I stopped by a store in NYC and they were only selling it to people who sign a contract. Do you think if I speak to the manager I can get it without contract?

I would tell them its a gift. You sign the contract when you activate it.

Bootsie, sorry to bust your bubble but it seems you are from Utah.

This promotion is only for the Northeast region.
