Just got the APP3

First impression was: Same ANC and same sound as APP2 but worse comfort.

Second day: Better ANC than APP2 but it takes trial and error with this one for the correct tip size. With APP2 it didn't matter if I used small or medium tips, ANC was the same. Both fit my ears comfortably as well. With this one, there's a big difference in ANC between tip sizes since for some reason APP3 does not sit as good in my ear as APP2. With small or XS tips, ANC is worse than APP2, but still I get good seal according to Apple's own fit test.
But with medium tips I get better ANC than APP2.

Sound quality: To be honest, it's really not much different than APP2. It's a bit more bass heavy but that's about tuning. They did not upgrade the drivers or the chip, so how can you expect to get better sound quality anyway?

Comfort: Definitely less comfortable for me than APP2. With APP2, I used to wear them all day, just take it out of my ears for charging. With these ones we'll see if I can comfortably wear them all day long during the week but I can definitely feel them in my ears. With APP2, I sometimes forget they are in my ears.

yeah its a downgrade in every way for me, worse anc and worse sound quality and not comfy, what was apple thinking, ruining the only great product

After 5 days of use, I got used to them. Better ANC for sure, I cannot hear my coffee machine anymore so I almost left it at steam this morning. Sound is not worse or better. It simply is a bit different but pretty close. And comfort wise I'm ok now. I can keep them all day long in my ears without any comfort issues. Maybe the foam has to be compressed for a while to be comfortable. It definitely is not the same feeling as first day.
