Just how many discs will a MacBook Pro / SuperDrive burn?

At this time of year I burn so many discs. I have searched the web and cannot find this answer anywhere. I worry I am using my MacBook Pro to burn too many discs, and even my SuperDrive. Is there any data, guarantee for the lifetime, how many discs, the drives can burn?

A new superdrive is probably $40, so it's not worth worrying about.
