well its done! i just upgraded, install was a breeze except for that stupid ribbon cable on the original hard drive. man i thought i was gonna break that!
2 tips for people gonna do the swap of any drive.

1. instead of taking the ribbon cable off for the key board, just lift it up and use tape to hold the keyboard up. i used blue 3m painters tape (masking will work too). just tape the bottom of the keyboard and over to the top of the laptop case.
2. the ribbon on the original drive, i used a piece of card board (after a lot of trial of other things) and slid it towards the monitor. again, what i thought to be the hardest part.

as for the drive, its quiet and is definatley quicker than my original 160gb 5400. also, i converted 2 dvd's to mpeg, spotlight re-indexed and the computer has been up for about 2 hours and the temp is at 39 degrees, so its running cool as well, so far so good. i also used the original drive to clone over using super duper(thanks for the tips MR's). about 32 gig in about 50 minutes.

sorry for another hd thread, but thought those tips may help others
