Okay, so I just installed a 750 GB hard drive in the optibay. I currently have my iTunes library on it, but I was wondering if there was an easy way to move all my media/data folders over to it so they dont take up space on my SSD. Folders such as downloads, movies, everything.

Use symbolic links

Move the directories and then in your SSD use symbolic links to the other harddisk (option create link from the ctrl-tap menu).

How do I move the directories, everytime I try and move, say the Downloads folder, it says I cant because Mac OS X needs it or something like that.

Looking for some answers on this. Do I need to change the location of the User folder? Ive read that leaving the Library folder on the SSD is the best option, is this also true about the User folder?
