What are my options

1. Software what is the best software. I installed ssd fan control and it does nothi g may be I have the settings wrong?

What software works with a 2010 27" imac.

2. What cable can I get?

Thanks

Here it is and on sale at them moment:

I have used both a SATA/External temp sensor adapter and Fan Control SW on Macs, and I recommend just use the external temp sensor and not worry about it.

It takes about 5 minutes to install and you never have to think about it ever again.

Short-out the sensor cable, no need to buy another. Use Mac Fan Control to fix the fan at nearly audible level.
How would I short out the sensor cable? If I do this that the Mac will not think there is any heat coming from the hard drive so why would I need a fan Control?
Thanks

1. Bend a paper clip to an U-shape and stick the 2 heads to the 2 holes connected to the wires.
2. Cut open the 2 wires and twist/solder them together.
3. Or just let them be and use Mac Fan Control.

In 3. above, the HDD fan will be noisy at boot, but after Mac Fan Control is loaded, it will be quiet again.
