Just jailbroke my iPhone 4, what should I do now?

So this is my first time ever jailbreaking anything - I've got Cydia, now what do I do? What are some of the essentials?
 
Well why did you jailbrake? What do you want/need that it didn't offer before you jailbroke?

I added biteSMS for the ability to respond to my SMS messages while in other apps.

I added Wi-fi Sync ......well to sync over wifi :D
 
im installing bitesms as we speak. i could use a bigger dock.. i don't know, i kinda just wanted to see what all the fuss is about. what else should i get?

Regardless of the reasons why you jailbroke your phone, grab SBSettings from Cydia.

Lockinfo is pretty much indispensable too.

Also, you could poke around here some more - there's probably 20 threads with people asking the same question you are. You could also Google "best jailbreak apps".
 
Make It Mine (changes carrier logo and banner)

MiTube (download youtube for offline viewing or slow connections)

Backgrounder (cause iOS 4 native multitasking sucks)

Notified (keep updated on the notifications that happen when you're asleep or something)

Wi-Fi Sync (it's amazing)

Winterboard (themes :) )

Those are basically all the apps I use.

question about bitesms - i upgraded to the full license, but that ad at the bottom wont go away and when ever i click on the box to type, the keyboard comes up and quickly goes away and doesn't come back. is that normal?...
 
with scrollable folders.. that's more than 12 (or however many) apps in a folder?

and that bitesms problem is gone btw.

and is there any way to stop the smiley thing from coming up when i quick reply to stuff in bitesms?

You dont HAVE to buy every app like infinifolder. You can get an "extended free trail". Do a google search for cracked (insert app here). Then add the correct repo in cydia to download it.

I'm not saying you should do this, cuz the devs work hard and should be rewarded, but hey you are your own person and knowledge is power and with great power comes great......yea.

-any way to stop the smiley menu from coming up everytime I quick reply in bite SMS?
 
3G Unrestrictor is my favorite. It lets you watch high quality YouTube videos (WiFi quality) when you are using 3G, or make FaceTime calls over 3G, basically any App that reduces quality when on 3G to save bandwith you can unrestrict and get Wifi quality.

You prob have some app running but normally it shoudnt drain that fast. As for biteSMS I'm not sure, I use QuickReply SMS. I love it!!!
 
how is irealsms? looks interesting, but bitesms is doing the job just fine for now.
