Just jailbroke, what are some good free tweaks to try out first?

Sorry I'm kinda new to this, also how do purchasing new ones work? Im assuming through paypal, but i just wanna make sure. Also I'm trying to search for tweaks through the search section, but i can not seem to find what I'm looking for.

f.lux, Activator, Winterboard (for theming) iWidgets, just to name a few.

Yes, purchases are made through Paypay, or you can use Amazon as Cydia is set up for that.

Saurik ended Amazon a few days ago. Only Paypal :/
Though Saurik said he was looking into another payment method that will be released soon :p

cool, thanks!!! Im really interested into trying some new themes, anybody recommend some for me to try?
 
FlipControlCenter is my favorite. Technically it hasn't been tested for 8.4, but it's working fine for me.

It lets you customize the top and bottom rows of switches in Control Center - they can even scroll! So you can have easy-to-find toggles for your wifi hotspot, location services, and so on. Plus if you've got other favorite tweaks they often can be added as FlipSwitches - so you can easily enable/disable Untethered Hey Siri, OpenSSH, etc.

This is such a great thing I predict Apple will copy it in the next 1-2 versions of iOS.

Be aware that the more tweaks you use, the more your battery life may be impacted. Always-on tweaks like theme engines can significantly shorten how long you can go without having to charge again (some people say Activator is very bad in that regard as well, but I've never had an issue with it).
 
I've got about 50 or so tweaks. Battery life is excellent.

OP. I might suggest Eclipse 2 if you are interested in getting rid of iOS 8's color.

Color Profiles and Monochrome is also what I use.
 
Hands done the best theme in my mind is glasklart (use with winterboard), next I like to edit the lock screen with something called groovylock the theme I use is grand ls 12h. Next check out bytafont 2 to change your text. After that I would look into springtomize, it is probably the coolest tweak, allows you to customize most everything on the springboard

Couple more to look into that are a must for me

How can i put a weather widget in the lock screen? Also i installed groovylock and tried using hexaclock, ls chronus, and ls mycs; however i guess cause i don't have ifile i can not configure them correct?

CC Settings.
f.lux
BetterFiveIconDock.
SwipeSelection.

I advise to carefully perform a little homework on a tweak that catches your eye. Learn how to self resolve if you run into a tweak clash / safe mode etc.

Still debating downgrading to 8.4 from 9b2, and just leaving my Watch 2b2 on airplane mode. I miss my jb and have been a very avid jb'er since the first iPhone, but not sure I really miss a lot of the tweaks. Probably WB, Message Customizer, Auxo, CCSettings. I'll probably jump if an 8.4.1 is released or something. We'll see. Enjoy the experience though! I learned so much just by installing things and tweaking stuff in iFile.
