If I use Office Mac 2008...if I send a document (doc, xls or ppt) to a friend that uses Office PC 2003. Will he open normally? Are they 100% compatible or I have to do some adjustes when save my document?

Most of my friends use PC and Office 2003.

Thank you. Ready to buy it! ;)

You can share docs, but you will need to save them down for your friend
There is a compatibility checker that will make this relatively painless for you

^ ^ ^ What they said.

Just stay away from the newer .docx and .xlsx file types, and you should be fine.

Yes, although there is a converter available for Office 2003 that will allow it to read the newer formats. But to go easy on your friends, just save the file in the older format.

I have a PC Office 2007.

Using Office Mac 2008 is the same, right?

I was worried if they are compatible (Mac Office 2008 and PC Office 2003).

As they are compatible...just buying it!

I've had trouble with that converter... even some basic .docx files go awry, for me at least. I've actually had better luck with iWork's converter .

Moral of the story: just save to the older .doc/.xls formats and 95% of compatibility headaches go away :).
