You'll get more responses if you add the "carrier" prefix to the OP and you add "T-Mobile" to the title. There are many insightful TMO users in this forum, such as @Applejuiced

I don't know, but best of luck. I'm sure someone will know.

???

We've been customers since late September. When the rep signed us up he gave us JOD. I assume that means we can upgrade any time we want, just turn in our devices and pay whatever down payment is required.

We also have two iPads on EIP, but unless there is some specific rule that I am unfamiliar with, what is stop stop me from ordering some new device whenever I feel like it? I mean, if I continue paying on my other devices does T-Mobile care if I 'upgrade' any time I wish?

My understanding was that T-Mobile ditched contracts a long time ago.

Am I totally misunderstanding your question?

Im just wondering what people upgrade options are with their companies

I think what the OP means is with T-Mobile they can upgrade at anytime. They want to know what other peoples upgrade ability is on other carriers.

I am on T-Mobile so I can upgrade anytime as well.

Pretty much all carriers have some type of jump, next, Edge or whatever they call it.
Its basicly a finance option where you pay on your device every month over 18,24,30 months or other options that you choose.
After a certain amount of time usually half way up or some other set time period you can trade the device in and start a new finance plan all together.
I dont think any carrier does 2 year contracts any longer and since you are with Tmobile just check out their Jump options.
