In some earlier releases of OS X, it was possible to set different limits for the number of recent applications, documents and servers that the Recent Items list under the Apple menu would show. In Yosemite (10.10), there seems to be one setting for all: if you want to see your most recent 20 (or whatever) apps, you'll also get your most recent 20 of the others.
Is that just my system? Is something set wrong, or is this step backwards (as I see it) part of the price one pays for the upgrade? And does anyone know how this will work in El Capitan?
(In case it matters, this is on the last 17" MacBook Pro, maxed out with an SSD.)
