This is for anyone thinking of getting a refurbished iMac from the Apple Store. This computer is for my friend who doesn't have a credit card. She gave me the money and I ordered it for her. Here's what's up so far:

Received 'ready for shipment' notification at 5:19 (!!)

You better believe there will be unboxing porn for all to see, as well as the monumental smell test, which I perform on every new Apple product I encounter. That's right. I press my nose into the nearest ventilation hole, and breathe deeply. Mmmm... carcinogens...

My question is if you got the ready for shipment then why does it show that it won't ship until the 25th-27th.

This is the main thing that i am anxious about becasue as soon as i get my refund check i don't know if i could wait another 2 weeks.

Also what state are you in so i can judge the shipping time.

I should have mentioned that I'm in Southern Ontario.

I believe the 'ready for shipment' status means that they have successfully charged my credit card.

Shipped this morning at 9:38am. I've never seen an Apple product ship this fast. Should be here by the 26th.

Arrived the morning of March 24th. Unbelievably fast shipping.

The iMac is perfect. I have many pictures that I will post tomorrow.

I actually ordered it for a friend, so no congratulations needed I am happy for her though, she loves it. And she's not the kind to show emotion. ha.

I am off to buy a new Black MacBook. Needless to say I am elated. I will definitely post unboxing pics (that everyone has seen numerous times, but it's special because they're *my* unboxing pics)

All in all, a perfect iMac for CAD$1250 after taxes. I'd buy one in a heartbeat.
