Just ordered MBP, delivery 9th August?

Is this normal? Just ordered a MBP (stock) with HE discount and the cheap Applecare.

For some reason the UK 0800 number went through to US sales but the guy still took the order.

Checking my order status it says it will take up to 03-09 of August for delivery.

Is this normal right now? I really need it sooner.

well...

i'm in the US and the Apple store (online) says 7-10 business days. so assume 10 days. from july 14, that means it will ship by july 24. add about a week for shipping, which takes you to july 31. so i would say it doesn't seem completely right (unless the dates and shipping times are different in the UK).

i would call to ask. i assume that because you ordered a stock model online, you're not close to an Apple store. or, if you are, they're sold out. check anyway - it might be worth the extra hassle to go around to a bunch of stores if you really need it sooner.
